About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command U.S. Army Counterintelligence Command HQ Fort Meade MD.

Duties

Serves as the Battalion Assistant S4, responsible for providing day to day management in obtaining or reviewing logistical management services for four mission essential task in the areas of procurement, facilities, Command Supply Discipline Program. Responsible for management of all assigned facilities for Battalion and field office Cl operations to include ensuring user requirements are documented and met via Interservice or Intragovernmental Support Agreements (ISAs). Provide assistance and guidance for the conduct of regulatory cyclic and periodic inventories and reports for all property types (installation, organization, intelligence, and real property). Plans and coordinates supply and services, maintenance support, and transportation for Multi-disciplined Counterintelligence (MDCI) Teams, supporting all unified commands.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on a TS (or equivalent level) investigation with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
  • All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.
  • Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination on a periodic basis.
  • Must be able to travel 15% of the time.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid state driver's license.
  • Must be able to pass the Army Defensive Driver's Training Course.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
