This position is located in the Air Traffic Organization (ATO), Management Services, Financial Services Directorate, Financial Management Group (AJG-R1). This group is responsible for providing budget execution and planning services for ATO Service Units (SU). Individual Financial Management Teams within the Group facilitate the distribution of funding, support the daily execution of funding for the service units, and fund certify and approve budget needs.
Duties
The Financial Program Specialist applies expert knowledge of the financial, budget and appropriations process to provide budget execution and planning services for an assigned ATO's Service Unit (SU), to serve as the senior Financial Services Specialist. As a senior Specialist, the position provides leadership to internal sub-teams on highly complex and challenging appropriation issues under the minimal direction of the Team Manager. Work activities typically impact directly on the objectives of the assigned SU, the ATO, and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
Requirements
- US Citizenship is required.
- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
- Must submit an SF50 (See Required Documents).
- Must be able to clear security
Qualifications
To qualify for this position, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the FV-I, FG/GS-13 level. This experience is typically related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been at least equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.Specialized Experience includes:Experience using the funds certification process to evaluate and approve funding requests. ANDExperience compiling program data to identify budgetary requirements.You should include relevant examples of the specialized experience in your work history.
