You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (CLASSIFICATION/RECRUITMENT) in the Total Force Manpower, Director, Civilian Personnel Programs of COMMANDER, NAVY REGION NORTHWEST.
The salary range for GS-09 is $67,147 to $87,291.
The salary range for GS-11 is $81,242 to $105,612.
Duties
You will advise hiring managers and selecting officials on recruitment strategies for attracting the best qualified candidates for vacant positions.
You will conduct position classification reviews to ensure classification standards are interpreted uniformly throughout a workforce.
You will build personnel records in a human resources information system (e.g., the Defense Civilian Personnel Data System [DCPDS], Onboarding).
You will instruct managers or supervisors on the application of position classification references.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
For GS-09:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying recruitment and placement laws, regulations, policies, and practices to solve recruitment and placement issues; 2) Providing advice to managers on a variety of recruiting authorities to facilitate recruitment; 3) Advising managers and command personnel on the hiring process; and 4) Using electronic personnel databases and systems to retrieve and analyze information.
For GS-11:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Executing recruitment, reassignment, and other personnel actions in accordance with federal laws, policies, rules, and regulations; 2) Reviewing and analyzing position descriptions utilizing federal classification standards; and 3) Resolving problems, answering questions, and providing guidance on staffing and position classification problems utilizing human resources tools and systems.

Education
GS-09:Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree
OR
Possession of an LL.B. or J.D. that is related to this position being filled.
