You will serve as a SUPERVISORY HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (MILITARY) in the Administrative Department of TRIDENT REFIT FACILITY, BANGOR.

Duties

You will advise Command level management on personnel policies, actions and practices including military manning, training and other personnel issues. You will plan and assign work to subordinates based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of assignments, and the capabilities of employees. You will provide advice, counsel, or instruction to employees on both work and administrative matters. You will prepare military/civilian appraisals to ensure they meet all required qualifications and entitlements. You will act as the Administration/Military Personnel Department Head in the incumbent's absence. You will provide guidance and information regarding a multitude of programs and entitlements.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: interpreting military personnel policies, procedures, or requirements to provide advice and guidance on military personnel matters including manpower programs or requirements/personnel management, training, military pay or travel entitlements.
