This position is located in the Division of Complex Institution Supervision and Resolution (CISR), Operations Branch of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and provides support in the areas of administrative, management and program planning activities which embrace multiple areas of administrative resources in support of the Office. Additional selections may be made from this vacancy announcement to fill identical vacancies that occur subsequent to this announcement.

Contributes to the formulation and/or interpretation of policies and procedures relating to the administrative support function.

Qualifications

Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Additional qualifications information can be found here. CG-11: To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the 09 grade level or above in the Federal service.  Specialized experience is defined as experience 1) providing administrative assistance related to personnel management and administrative programs and 2) using automated tools and applications to create reports, presentations, and communication for distribution. OR  EDUCATION: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree. OR  COMBINATION of education as described above and specialized experience as described below, that together meet the qualification requirements for this position. CG-12: To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the 11 grade level or above in the Federal service.  Specialized experience is defined experience 1) providing advice, administrative assistance, and guidance to managers and employees related to personnel management and administrative programs 2) using automated tools and applications to create reports and provide analysis and recommendations to management and 3) developing presentations and communication for distribution.  Applicants must have met the qualification requirements (including selective placement factors – if any) for this position within 30 calendar days of the closing date of this announcement.
