This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for AcqDemo Business and Technical Management Career Path (NH) to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: The pay band NH-04 includes the General Schedule grade equivalent to GS-14/15. Other initiatives under the Acquisition Demonstration Project include simplified classification, streamlined hiring process and expanded developmental opportunities.
Duties
Advise the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics, and Technology (ASAALT) leadership in the oversight, management and execution of assigned programs.
Perform other special assignments as assigned by the Director, Assistant Deputy for Acquisition Systems Management (ADASM), Deputy Acquisition Systems Management (DASM).
Develop and refine the necessary products for assigned programs to include briefings, information papers, and emails, and briefs as required, to facilitate effective communication across stakeholders.
Present cost, schedule and performance risk associated with recommended courses of action and alternatives.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
- You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Program Management certification within 48 months as of entrance on duty.
- One year trial/probationary period may be required.
- This position requires you to submit a Public Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 278) or a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
- Incumbent must possess and maintain a Top Secret -Sensitive Compartmented Information clearance.
- The duties of this position meet the criteria for compliance with Federal and Department of the Army Drug Free Workplace Programs. Pre-employment and random drug testing is required.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of up to 15% of the time.

Experience required: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience: To qualify, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level (NH-03). Specialized experience is defined as:1) Developing policies for acquisition program implementation. 2)Evaluating the organizations systems acquisition strategies to ensure successful program execution. 3) Providing guidance on budget formulations or resource allocation for acquisition program.
