Duties

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY As a Director PEPFAR you will use your knowledge of and experience to optimize business results and customer experience by: Providing overall leadership, direction and guidance on positions and approaches for HHS and OGA in relation to the Office of the Global AIDS Coordinator and the interagency PEPFAR team. Representing HHS and OGA in meetings with officials from other agencies to coordinate efforts and ensuring that Department objectives related to HIV/AIDS and other international health issues are met. Interpreting and adaptig guidelines and Departmental policies, regulations, precedents, and work directions for applications to specific cases or problems applicable to the Office.

Qualifications

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Minimum Qualifications You must have one year specialized experience to perform successfully the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service performing at least ALL of the following: Providing advice to senior U.S. and foreign government and non­governmental health policy experts on international HIV/AIDS pandemic issues. Applying research principles, with an emphasis on HIV/AIDS, to develop strategies that aide awareness of the impact of HIV/AIDS on political, health and social situations. Developing and advising on policy recommendations and/or guidance relating to HIV/AIDS. Documenting experience: IN DESCRIBING YOUR EXPERIENCE, PLEASE BE CLEAR AND SPECIFIC.
