You will serve as a Tools and Parts Attendant Work Leader in the MRO-Logistics Department of FLTREADCEN EAST.

Duties

You will monitor junior tools and parts employees to ensure they follow safety, fire, and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations. You will report hazards, malfunctioning equipment, damaged materials, or other situations that may impact work operations or the safety of others. You will review spot-check work in progress and upon completion to ensure that the supervisors instruction on work sequence, proper quality, procedures, and quantity have been met. You will estimate the number of required personnel necessary to support workload requirements and provides information to Supervisor. You will maintain a working knowledge of all aspects of the Tools and Parts Attendant trade. You will ensure that all Standard Operating Procedures are followed correctly for the purpose of compliant distribution and control of regulated products (tools, hazardous materials, aircraft related and IMRL support equipment).

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: 1) Organizing tools/equipment and storing hazardous materials in accordance with instructions; 2) Assisting with the completion of assigned team projects, such as inventories or product evaluations; and 3) Reporting work in progress and any causes for delay to Supervisor.
