This position is located in the United States Agency for Global Media, within Voice of America, Eurasia Division, Serbian Service. The incumbent serves as an International Broadcaster (TV/Online), with the responsibility for reporting, writing, editing and producing content for the Service's TV and digital platforms. They will anchor live and pre-recorded TV programs and segments, and deliver live on-camera remotes for interactives with Serbian affiliates.
Duties
As an International Broadcaster (TV/Online) (Serbian), you will be responsible for duties to include, but are not limited to:
Produces and creates original TV or online reports focusing on a wide range of issues of interest to target audience.
Initiates and conducts original on-camera interviews with a wide variety of subjects and news sources.
Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with team members, colleagues and with groups of individuals providing information or interviews for programs.
Edits news reports, in-depth background reports, interviews and other material originated by broadcasters.
Requirements
- You must be a U.S Citizen or U.S. National.
- This is a public trust. If selected, this position requires the completion of the SF-86.

Qualifications
Screen out factor: Applicant must have fluency in both English and Serbian languages that enables you to speak, read, write, report, and translate in both languages. This language screen out factor MUST be listed in your resume to receive consideration.
Applicants must have a minimum of one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility comparable to the GS-11 or comparable pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private sector. Specialized Experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position.
Ability to conceptualize and design productions for multiple platforms where there is no established format or where obstacles exist.
Familiarity with production techniques, including practical skills in video reporting and production using social networks.
Demonstrative skill as an on-camera presenter or reporter for TV broadcasts.
A vast knowledge of Serbian history, economics, culture, and socio-political development
Education
Education is not required for this grade level. It cannot be used for qualification purposes.
