This position is located in the Headquarters Office of the Consumer Product Safety Commission, Office of Compliance and Field Operations (EXC), Division of Resources Management (CRM), and serves as the supervisor of the Fast Track Team. The Fast Track Team is responsible for negotiating expedited voluntary recalls of potentially hazardous consumer products.

As the Supervisory Compliance Officer of the Fast Track Team, you will have responsibility for the overall management of the team, including:

Qualifications
All candidates must possess the Selective Placement Factor (SPF) to receive consideration for this position. The SPF required for this position requires you to work on sensitive cases involving death or serious injuries to consumers.
In addition to the SPF, applicants qualifying based on experience must have 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.
Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
GS-14: 1) Developing and implementing strategies related to building and investigating cases involving consumer product safety compliance and regulations; 2) Leading corrective action negotiations related to consumer product safety compliance and regulations; 3) Evaluating proposed recall remedies and proposed changes to ensure they address consumer product safety hazards; 4) Developing recall remedies and strategies that incentivize consumers to participate in recalls; 5) Evaluating consumer product defects in accordance with established standards; and 6) Providing advice to management and senior officials on sensitive product safety compliance issues.

In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade.
