About the Position: This is an Information Technology Cybersecurity Specialist (Systems Administration) position in the Directorate of Production Engineering.

Duties
Serve as lead systems administrator for broad and complex Army Cyber Operations in support of the Army/Joint initiatives.
Plan and coordinate the installation, testing, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of hardware and software systems in support of Army Cyber Operations.
Plan and carry out difficult and complex assignments to lead studies to identify improvements in the way IT architecture is applied to key business functions.
Ensure the rigorous application of information security and information assurance policies, principles, and practices to the systems administration process.
Perform needs analyses to define opportunities for new or improved IT solutions to emerging cyber threats.
Develop cost estimates for new and modified IT systems.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. In addition to the competencies, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal Service which includes: 1) Devising solutions to problems for which precedents are lacking and which require innovative approaches and system designs; 2) Installing, testing, operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining hardware and software systems in support of cyber operations; AND 3) Resolving hardware/software interface and interoperability problems in support of cyber operations.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
