Duties
Serve as a Lead IT Cybersecurity Specialist (INFOSEC) for the US ARMY Wideband Control Test Division.
Perform duties as the Lead Security Control Assessor - Validator (SCA-V) or Agent of the Security Control Assessor (ASCA) professional Lead Team Member.
Perform Cybersecurity verification in support of the Wideband Satellite Communication Operational Management System (WSOMS) subsystems
Lead the assessment team in evaluating the processes and procedures used to store, retrieve, transport, and dispose of assets to ensure compliance with cybersecurity requirements.
Explore technology concepts and evaluate advanced state of the art information/communication systems to meet future DOD requirements.
Train team members in developing security documentation as required by the DoD Risk Management Framework(RMF) via the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) collaboration tool.
Develop correspondence such as briefings, project papers, fact sheets, status report for senior leadership and stakeholders.
Plan work to be accomplished by team, such as setting priorities, for work completion.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Practitioner Engineering and Technology Management Certification within 60 months of entrance on duty.
- Position requires Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level III certification or the incumbent must be able to obtain certification within six (6) months of appointment in accordance with DoDD 8140
- Obtain and Maintain Top Secret Clearance.
- This is a testing designated position. Personnel must pass drug screening prior to hiring and will be subject to periodic and random drug testing, thereafter, in accordance with AR 600-85 and Department of Defense Directive 2010.9.
- Business travel (TDY) up to 25%.

Basic Requirements IT Specialist GS-2210-14- IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below, based on the grade-level required, at this position being filled.

AND
Specialized Experience :One year of specialized experience which include 1) Evaluating system compliance with IT cybersecurity requirements and presenting finalized reports; AND 2)Overseeing/ Performing IT/cybersecurityvulnerability assessments as required by directive; AND 3) Recommending countermeasures to mitigate evolving Cybersecurity requirements as they apply to new/ existing systems such as Satellite Communication.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
