Junior Contracts Specialist for the Office of Acquisitions Management and is responsible for providing support and assistance in the contracting of goods and services for program offices designated by the director.

Qualifications

Qualifications: Undergraduate degree and/or training or experience in the procurement field demonstrating skills required.Familiarity and/or experience with various information and office systems, including contract writing tools, word processing and spreadsheet software.Knowledge of current procurement concepts, methods and techniques.Analytical skill and ability to assist in the review and evaluation of contractor proposals.Knowledge of contract administrationGeneral business knowledge and awareness of strategic management concepts a plus.Preferred familiarity with the Federal Acquisition Regulations.Writing and/or editing skills.Ability to work in a high stress environment and produce satisfactory work under tight deadlines.Ability to interact with others in a professional, courteous and tactful manner.Availability to work additional hours as required.Must be able to secure and maintain Federal Government security clearances as deemed appropriate by senior management.Continued employment is contingent upon satisfactorily completing a criminal history records check (or other applicable security clearance) and a pre-employment drug-test (pre-identified position only).
