This position is located in the Corporate University, Headquarters of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and provides support in the areas of project management and administrative duties in support of the Office of the Director. Additional selections may be made from this vacancy announcement to fill identical vacancies that occur subsequent to this announcement.

Duties

Performs and manages day-to-day administrative tasks and is responsible for the efficiency of administrative controls, procedures and internal CU office operations.

Qualifications

Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Additional qualifications information can be found here. CG-11: To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the 09 grade level or above in the Federal service.  Specialized experience is defined as experience in at least four of the following: (1) preparing written materials, such as routine division communication and meeting agendas, action items, and minutes; (2) tracking progress and status of project milestones; (3) managing and coordinating a meeting calendar for a manager; (4) coordinating management meeting and other Division event logistics; (5) providing administrative support for division committees and/or working groups; (6) completing travel planning tasks for a manager; or (7) conducting research and basic analysis on areas and topics of interest to management  OR EDUCATION: To qualify based on education; applicants must possess a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree, or an LL.M., if related. OR COMBINING EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Combinations of successfully completed education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements for the CG-11 level. Applicants must have met the qualification requirements (including selective placement factors – if any) for this position within 30 calendar days of the closing date of this announcement.
