About the Position: This position is located in Fort Belvoir Community Hospital with Director for Healthcare & Strategic Planning Department of Quality Management Credentials, Fort Belvoir VA. Hours are 7:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M.
Duties
Receive telephone calls and visitors to the office.
Initiate calls for information pertaining to administrative and office management matters.
Arrange for meetings or conferences including selecting mutually satisfactory time, reserving meeting facilities, notifying participants of time and place.
Maintain responsibility for ordering office supplies.
Receive and control incoming correspondence, publications, regulations and directives.
Screen items to handle personally or route to appropriate staff member.
Establish and maintain office administrative functional files, reference publications, and suspense files.
Prepare recurring and special reports.
Extract and examine Practitioner Credentials Files (PCF) and verify all privileged health care providers maintain valid credentials.
Review hospital regulations and make necessary recommendations for changes to ensure compliance with current standards.
Conduct periodic screening and prepare PCF’s for inactivation or for transfer to other military health care facilities in accordance with DoD or Medical Command (MEDCOM) regulations and directives.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Tier 1 security investigation or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation is required.
- This position requires the incumbent to have tuberculosis testing.
