Duties

You will use common trade tools (e.g. drill presses, rivet guns, punches, metal saws templates, unit shears, power hand saw, power band saw, universal grinder, electric sander) to perform sheet metal work. You will use complicated measuring instruments (e.g. protractors; calipers; snap ring; height, depth, dial, and screw pitch gauges) to measure plans and/or projects. You will lay out work from technical documentation (e.g. blueprints, sketches, drawings, specifications, work orders) to construct and/or maintain installation facilities. You will apply metal joining techniques (e.g. riveting, soldering, welding) for appearance, durability, and/or structural soundness. You will operate computerized numerically controlled and conventional machines such as notched power brake, spot welder, acetylene welder, and drill presses.

• This position requires a State Criminal History Repository (SCHR) check to be completed on any person selected for this position. Must be willing and able to submit to a SCHR check.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
• This is a bargaining unit position.
