You will serve as a FINANCIAL TECHNICIAN of SURFCOMSYSTRNCMD DAHLGREN.
Salary Range for GS-06 level: $50,326 - $65,425
Salary Range for GS-05 level: $45,146 - $58,686
Duties
You will have the ability to multi-task across various stakeholders and respond to tasks with short timelines.
You will identify and refer complex problems or questions requiring detailed analysis or extensive review to the responsible financial point of contact or higher-level employee.
You will conduct financial analysis to support decision-making, such as cost benefit analysis for proposed projects or assess financial health of Navy programs.
You will maintain financial reports, process transactions, reconcile accounts, and ensure compliance with financial regulations and procedures.
You will assist in internal audits or reviews to ensure compliance with financial regulations, policies, and procedures. Support external audits conducted by government agencies.
You will be proficient in Excel and other Microsoft applications.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This is a Financial Management Level 1 certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
Qualifications
GS-06
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Assisting in the preparation, execution, and monitoring of budgets for various programs and activities; 2) Analyzing spending trends, preparing budget reports; and 3) Providing recommendations for budget adjustments.
GS-05
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Having ability to analyze and articulate budget and cost estimates to support programs and activities. 2) Reviewing and evaluating funding requests for proper funding; and 3) Reviewing, analyzing and reporting obligations and expenditures.
