About the Position:
This position will serve as a Training Specialist (ADWS) with the Directorate of Training and Doctrine (DOTD), Fires Center of Excellence (FCoE) located at Fort Sill, Oklahoma.
Duties
Develop and/ or evaluate training materials for Air Defense Artillery Courses.
Use the Training Development Capability database to produce programs of instruction, lesson plans, student and instructor guides, and training support packages.
Ensures the design of test instruments and training materials are accurate.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Work occasionally requires travel away from the normal duty station, TDY approximately 15% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that demonstrates a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and of the methods and techniques of instruction, which includes Design and develop collective tasks for Air Defense Weapons Systems (ADWS); Evaluate training material regarding Air Defense Weapons Systems (ADWS); and Participate in analysis to determine requirements for collective training development in settings regarding Air Defense Weapons Systems (ADWS).This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).
OR
Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. with a major study in education or a subject area related to the position to be filled such as Adult Education. OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
