About the Position: Serve in a key staff position as the Administrative Officer for Real Estate Division and works under the general supervision of the Chief, Real Estate Division who delegates responsibility for planning, policy development and implementation, and coordination of all administrative functions for the Division.

Duties

Provide administrative advice and counsel in the planning, directing, and coordination of the procedural and administrative functions of the Real Estate Division. Oversee all clerical, timekeeping and administrative duties for the Division. Prepare Requests for Personnel Actions (RPAs) using the Defense Civilian Personnel Database System (DCPDS) and/or AutoNOA for all personnel requirements within the Division. Maintain the Division's property book account, conducting inventories as required or requested. Prepare correspondence in final form, prepare public notices for mailing, receive visitors and phone calls and review and analyze budget formulation.

Minimum Qualifications for the GS-09: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes processing administrative actions dealing with items such as financial, personnel, and/or material needs; assisting in the development of budgetary needs such as estimates, justifications, allocation of funds and resources. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business Administration, Human Resources Management, Organizational Development, or a related discipline to the position. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.). OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. Minimum Qualifications for the GS-11: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes preparing, analyzing, monitoring, administrative actions dealing with items such as financial, personnel, and/or material needs; developing budgetary items such as estimates, justifications, allocation of funds and resources; and assessing internal processes and procedures. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business Administration, Human Resources Management, Organizational Development, or a related discipline to the position. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.). OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent.
