You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER in the OFFICE OF THE JUDGE ADVOCATE GENERAL of NLSC.

Duties

You will be responsible for assuring the effective and efficient accomplishment of the organization's mission by providing essential administrative functions, management and oversight to administrative programs. You will manage and maintain activity organization information and events (e.g. rosters, directories, organizational listing, files, recall roster personnel locators, etc.,.) in accordance with established procedures. You will manage and oversee all facets of the Assistant Judge Advocate General 01 front office military operations and processes located in the Pentagon. You will ensure programs are properly staffed with trained personnel, collateral duties are assigned, deadlines are met and training sessions are scheduled. You will manage and oversee records management applying extensive knowledge in program requirements and regulations in order to properly manage the preservation/destruction of office records and historical files.

Requirements

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Formulating and recommending administrative policies, procedures, and regulations by coordinating with various staffs to determine and evaluate needs; 2) Developing comprehensive plans and strategies for internal and external integration of day to day and long-range projects, actions and activities; 3) Controlling actions and projects and resolving a variety of issues related to the assignment, preparation and administrative processing of assigned actions; 4) Assisting with analyzing projects involving a wide variety of subject matters; and 5) Providing technical direction, feedback to others regarding performance and reviewing work product for accuracy.
