The incumbent serves in an advisory capacity to the Director and Deputy Director on administrative management matters and provides guidance and direction to employees for accomplishing the goals and objectives of the Director and/or Deputy Director.

Duties
Completes confidential, high priority and sensitive assignments arising within the Director’s purview.
Analyzes controversial matters, develops written products that articulate, interpret and explain subject matter issues;
(cont'd) presents findings and recommends a course of action or presents a finished product for the signature of the Director and/or Deputy Director, ensuring clarity, accuracy of information and coordination as necessary.
Oversees responsibilities for OHO's national meetings, conferences and training programs, ensuring that policies and regulations are adhered to while delivering programs within budget allocations.
Exercises oversight responsibilities for tasks relating to management of the immediate office of the Director and Deputy Director, such as maintaining their calendars, responding to inquiries, providing guidance to staff members, etc.
Oversees the assignment and control of incoming correspondence. Analyzes incoming correspondence and assigns sole, lead and/or coordinative responsibility for preparation of reply. Monitors progress and ensures that assignments are completed timely.

Qualifications
Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience at the GS-12 level, or equivalent, which is in or related to the work of the position to be filled and has equipped applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience includes (1) receiving, controlling, and assigning incoming and/or outgoing assignments; (2) reviewing documents for accuracy and proper form; (3) reviewing management or administrative procedures; and (4) handling incoming correspondence requests for information related to OHO policies and programs.
