You will serve as a INDUSTRIAL SPECIALIST in the MANUFACTURING AND QUALITY DIVISION of FLTREADCEN EAST.

Duties

You will conduct studies and analyses of vendor facilities and Depot capability. You will coordinate, access, download, process and submit DLA 339 requests for engineering support via the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) data system and local task management systems. You will perform technical review and analytical study of procurements or repair contract deliverables for contractual compliance. You will conduct reviews of a vendor's manufacturing or repair capabilities, internal manufacture planning, and quality control processing and quality history to determine if they can meet production standards and quality.

Requirements

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Conducting studies and analyzing of vendor facilities and depot capabilities for complex aircraft/production operation to maintain deliverables; 2)Recognizing advanced and emerging industrial manufacturing methods, practices, production equipment, materials, and processes employed in producing systems and related equipment; 3) Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, working diagrams and other related documents in order to comprehend the complexity of issues; 4) Familiarity with a variety of contract types and contractual agreements governing the production of highly specialized equipment; 5) Preforming at the Journey level providing acquisition support for production, procurement, development, repair, management and control of NAVAIR and the Navy Supply System assets.
