You will serve as an INDUSTRIAL SPECIALIST (AIRCRAFT) in the Fleet Support Team, FST Engineering Division of FLTREADCEN EAST.

Duties

You will deliver oral presentations to internal and external contacts detailing the status or changes in scope of projects, material problems, or justifications for schedule modifications. You will discuss work status with supervisor to provide periodic progress reports and keep the supervisor and organization informed. You will oversee the revision of short and long-range plans due to accomplish maintenance projects within the specific timeframe.

• This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). You must be certified as a Career Field N-Engineering and Technical Management (EMT) Level 1. Certification is required within 24 months of appointment.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing critical item management support in engineering, production, procurement and/or repair of various weapon systems; 2) Performing review of individual items to determine flight criticality and vendor source approval; 3) Identifying test requirements, production shop/sites to perform test and sequence of operations; 4) Reviewing data systems and engineering requests to determine and verify the current technical manuals.
