Duties
Dismantle, repair and assemble asynchronous and induction motors, motor generators, protective relays, and high voltage circuit breakers
Clean, adjust, and repair electrical equipment such as air circuit breakers and remotely controlled supervisory and telemeter equipment and installs rigid conduits
Pull in conductor, assemble bus bars, phase out and connects conductors
Troubleshoot distribution circuits and controlling equipment to locate and correct the causes of outages and improper operation
Perform emergency cut-outs and substitutions and power lines and equipment, sometimes working on distribution systems when they are energized
Repair electrical auxiliary equipment in the boiler and refrigeration plants
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship requirement or proof of being a U.S. National must be met by closing date.

- This position requires night shifts, regular or rotational shifts, holiday hours, weekends. This position has on-call or call-back requirements.
Qualifications
Applicants will be rated in accordance with the OPM Qualification Standard Handbook X-118C. Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most blue-collar positions, you must meet any screen-out element listed, and show through experience and training that you possess the level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position.
