Duties

Serves as a sales and account management executive. Prospects for new clients through a variety of sources and sales leads utilizing the Internet, trade publications, competitive sources and trade shows. Develops proposals and evaluation criteria, and negotiates sponsorship and advertising agreements. Coordinates closely with local level counterparts and officials of other agencies or components to execute agreements. Obtains legal counseling as necessary. Acts as account manager for clients to ensure that benefits are executed and terms of agreement are met. Attends related board, committee, and special event planning meetings. Provides expert advice and assistance that includes training. Makes presentations, writes, and performs public relations duties.

• Must be able to work within the hours of 7 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday: Must be flexible to work evening and weekend work hours for events as needed.
• Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.

Qualifications

Standard Qualifications: Work experience that demonstrates proven ability and experience in sales, negotiations, account management, and client care. Must be able to communicate orally and in writing, and have a working knowledge of the military and MWR community. A bachelor's degree in marketing, public relations, business, or recreation is preferred. Highly Preferred Qualifications: One (1) year minimum of the following: Working knowledge and professional experience in solicitation and activation of advertising, sponsorship and/or another sales-related activity. Professional experience using desktop publishing, graphic design, or business writing software to generate proposals and/or solicitation materials. Professional experience using spreadsheet software to generate reports and dashboards. Professional experience in public speaking and one-on-one sales presentations. Candidates will be ranked against the Highly Qualified Criteria. Only the most highly qualified candidates will be initially referred.
