You will serve as a Supervisory Realty Specialist in the Real Estate Division, of Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Southeast. Duties
You will be responsible for the leadership and overall program management of the Real Estate and Navy and Marine Corps product lines for all shore facilities programs with the NAVFAC SE area of responsibility.
You will lead a team consisting of technical specialists, including realty contracting officers, appraisers, engineering technicians, and administrative staff.
You will serve as the principal consultant to the command on real estate issues and requirements, and provide warranted authority for fee acquisition of real property contracts, easements, leases and other types of in-grants for land/real property.
You will serve as a Senior Real Estate and Government Official in the selection of contractors to provide services and as such, is responsible for the conduct of all Board activities.
You will represent the command at meetings with Navy and Marine Corps Commanding Officers , Public Works Officers of supported commands, and public entities.
You will make work assignments and establish dates for completion. You will mentor, coach and empower team associates in the accomplishment of product and service delivery to customers.

- This position may require occasional travel from normal duty station. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
- A Level III(unlimited) Real Estate Contracting Officer Warrant is required within 12 months of hire.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing duties such as: 1) Applying mastery of real estate principles, policies, and methodologies for the acquisition, management, and disposal of real property across a large geographic area; 2) Planning, managing, and overseeing the execution of highly complex and controversial real estate projects that require complicated negotiations and resolution of conflicts in policy and program objectives; 3) Ensuring Department of Defense (DOD) policies and procedural guidance are followed in handling the acquisition, management, and disposal of real property; and 4) Working on complex US Government and commercial real estate issues concerning financing terms, legal issues, development processes, bankruptcy and foreclosures, and local land use policies in order to negotiate with private owners or developers and discuss proposed projects with public officials.
