You will serve as a INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (APPLICATIONS SOFTWARE) in the ADMINISTRATION AND RESOURCE DIVISION in the of HQ US MARINE CORPS.
Duties
You will perform end-user requests for applications to determine the validity of the requirements.
You will prepare testing and implementation plans.
You will develop web/portal sites and database applications to meet customer requirements.
You will provide support, in the preparation for, and in the conduct of Information Systems Coordinators (ISC) meetings, and other instructional technical briefs.
You will prepare system documentation for complex applications in accordance with agency standards.
Requirements

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing most or all of the following duties: 1) Performing technical evaluations on end-user's request for hardware, software and applications to determine the validity of the requirement; 2) Evaluating proposed IT applications, designs, and design changes utilizing demonstrated knowledge of systems analysis and design techniques including data and process modeling, alternative design approaches relevant to the application area, configuration management, and computer equipment requirements; 3) Preparing testing and implementation plans to ensure completeness and accuracy of program modules and development of information systems to meet user requirements; and 4) Coordinating application programming projects utilizing understanding of computer configuration, system software, utility programs, and programing aids. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
