This position is located in the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), VA Capitol Health Care Network (VISN 5), at the Beckley VA Medical Center. The primary duties of this position include being a fleet manager and transporting patients, medical equipment, supplies, linen, VAMC personnel, and other items essential to the operation of the Beckley VA Medical Center. This position is located within the Facility Management Service Line (FMSL) in Beckley, WV.

EXPERIENCE: A specific length of training and experience is not required, but you must show evidence of training or experience of sufficient scope and quality of your ability to do the work of this position. Physical Requirements/Working Conditions: The daily duties performed by the incumbent are mostly sedentary. However, the position also involves duties consisting of climbing in and out of vehicles, moderate to heavy physical effort in climbing on or in to load or tie down cargo. Incumbent works in all weather conditions, pushing, and pulling laundry carts and wheelchairs; sometimes lifting heavy freight equipment, supplies, etc., weighing up to 50 pounds, climbing steps, loading, and unloading patients in wheelchairs in vans, and driving long hours on trips. CDL Requirement: Applicants must have a current valid CDL.
