Duties

As a Business Services Support Specialist you will: Assist program officials in defining the level and kinds of services needed to carry out assigned responsibilities and to accomplish project objectives. Review all travel requests and serve as consultant to employees on regulations, policies, and procedures. Conduct the purchase of a wide variety of supplies, equipment, and services needed to support the operations of the organization using the Integrated Contracts Expert (ICE). Manage administrative requirements for supplies, property and office moves. Provide personnel management administrative support to a serviced organization.

Qualifications

All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of the announcement. Minimum Qualifications: To qualify at the GS-09 grade level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level, which must include the following experience in purchasing supplies, equipment, and services needed to support the operations of the organization. OR Master's or equivalent graduate degree OR 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.B. or J.D., if related OR Have a combination of specialized experience and graduate level education that meets 100% of the qualification requirements for this position. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Education

Copy of your transcripts or equivalent documentation is required for positions with an education requirement, or if you are qualifying based on education or a combination of education and experience. An official transcript will be required if you are selected.
