This position is part of the WAPA Headquarters. As a Enterprise Portfolio Project Manager, you will be serve as the Western Area Power Administration (WAPA) Senior Project Manager managing a wide range of project implementation activities, and other WAPA wide Council initiatives. This is not a remote position. The selectee will be required to be physically present at one of the following locations: Phoenix, AZ Folsom, CA Lakewood, CO Loveland, CO Montrose, CO Salt Lake City, UT

Qualifications

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level [GS-13] in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as: Experience in leading and providing strategic project management including project earned value management tracking and analysis. Knowledge of the hydro-power industry, power marketing activities, evolving power markets, transmission asset planning and studies, policy guidance and strategic initiatives so as to effectively lead and manage projects associated with each. Experience in cross functional team building and customer relationship management. Experience in strategic and tactical thinking and planning. "Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Time-in-Grade: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent by the closing date of this announcement to receive consideration.
