This position is located within the United States Department of the Treasury, under the Under Secretary of Domestic Finance, within the Office of Financial Research (OFR), in the Operations Division (Operational Support Section).

Duties
As a Public Affairs Specialist, you will:
- Develop and implement a public affairs and social media program evaluation plan, in order to evaluate the program's efficiency and effectiveness for public affairs and social media.
- Advise the Director of the OFR or his designee, and coordinates with the Treasury's Office of Legislative and Public Affairs Office on policy issues affecting major decisions regarding OFR.
- Analyze media coverage and external reactions to specific OFR programs and research.
- Manage contracts and vendor relationships concerned with the internal and external website; create images, HTML pages, interactive features, and other key content on the website.

You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized experience for the OR-60 (GS-14) is described as one year of experience at the OR-53 (GS-13) level in Federal Service, or equivalent, which has equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience includes ALL of the following:
-Experience promoting and advising on financial research issues and priorities with FIRREA regulators, industry professionals, academic institutions, agency leadership, and/or nonprofits; AND
- Experience advancing research issues or priorities of interest via press, official correspondence, social media platforms, and other online communication channels, as well as building templates, standards, tools, and social media guidelines; AND
-Experience promoting the brand and image of an agency or organization with government agencies at domestic or foreign events; this may include US embassies, international organizations, FSOC and FIRREA member agencies; AND
-Experience serving as a spokesperson and representing an agency or organization at recruitment fairs, exhibit/trade shows, financial conferences, and/or meetings.
The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. TIME-IN-GRADE: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the OR-60, you must have been at the OR-53 level for 52 weeks.
TIME AFTER COMPETITIVE APPOINTMENT: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
