Duties

Review Defense Travel System (DTS) authorizations and vouchers for command travel and patient travel. Correct voucher errors for travelers or return to travelers for corrections. Work with travel agency when needed to assist members with airline, rental car, and hotel reservations. Serve as an alternate government travel card point of contact, responsible for issues associated with application processes, issuance, restrictions, debt repayment, transfer, etc. Support Uniform Business Office (UBO) manager when needed by updating accounts and correct billing records containing problems to ensure maximum reimbursement of Third-Party Collections (TPC).

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain certification Financial Management Level 1 certification.

Basic Requirement for Financial Management Technician: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting with travel authorizations/vouchers for patients or command personnel and analyzing data for reports. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-06.
