This position is located in the Office of Communications (OCOM) of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), serves as an Information Technology Specialist in the Office of Communications, and is responsible for secure web-based application solutions to extend the Drupal platform, enable efficient business operations, and drive business agility.

Duties
Leads management of the application stacks for FDIC’s web content management system (Drupal) to meet current and future business requirements. Collaborates in a team that has adopted agile methodologies to achieve product management and delivery goals by leveraging agile/product management tools.
Develops and implements web and content management system technologies that include (but are not limited to) Drupal, Linux, Apache, server-side scripting, and other web development related tools such as Git, Gitlab CI and essential Cloud resources and services.
Serves as a technical lead and manages the software development of multiple medium- to high-cost, medium- to high-impact, and/or medium- to high-complexity large-scale IT Software Projects to support digital communication needs. As a technical authority, solves significant problems complicated by interfaces and interrelationships between and among programs, systems functions, policies, and numerous critical issues.
Monitors the technical effort being performed by vendors or contractors at the task order level. Advises the Contracting Officer (CO) on performance or compliance issues of task orders. Reports, documents and escalates performance issues or potential problems as soon as they occur or soon as possible.
Qualifications
Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g. Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS/CG-13 grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience developing, writing, and maintaining Drupal modules; planning, implementing, and resolving integration issues with customer delivery systems; and managing the planning, test driven development, testing and continued improvements of Drupal and other cloud-based web applications.
