This position is located in the Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Inspector General, Office of Management and Policy.
Duty location will be at a current OIG Regional or Field Offices upon selection.
**Salary Range reflects the General Schedule Rest of US Pay Scale.
The salary for this position will be adjusted based on the duty location.

Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position. Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience providing assistance, interpretation, information, and guidance on the full range of employee relations problems and issues to include individual performance, performance appraisal systems, pay-for-performance compensation systems, and employee relations training programs,
Experience serving as the subject matter expert and technical advisor for disciplinary/adverse actions and performance-based actions and procedures;
Experience serving as the technical advisor at formal and informal proceedings and representing the agency before administrative adjudicative bodies such as the merit systems protection board; and
Experience developing, reviewing, and recommending modifications to policies, procedures, and guidance in the various areas of employee relations.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume should include the dates of all qualifying experience (from month/year to month/year) and the number of hours worked/volunteered per week. Federal experience is not required. The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector or Volunteer Service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-timework is considered on a prorated basis.
