This position is located in Field Operations Directorate, Office of Field Operations, Investor Program Office (IPO).
As an Supervisory Adjudication Officer, you will serve as an advisor to the Compliance Program Manager on oversight, coordination and overall design and implementation matters related to IPO regional center compliance.
Duties
Perform a full range of supervisory responsibilities for the Compliance Division such as, providing performance feedback, recruitment and hiring, recognizing employee achievements, and creating a work environment free from discrimination.
Interpret, apply, and enforce immigration and nationality laws including planning and conducting research concerning the eligibility entitlements of persons seeking immigration benefits under the Immigration and Nationality Act.
Review Compliance Division functions to determine the effectiveness and successful accomplishment of goals, and address and resolve issues that impinge on the timely and consistent achievement of regional center compliance life cycles and objectives.
Develop and recommend policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure that regional center compliance functions are in conformance with applicable laws, regulations, and directives.
Advise leadership on oversight, coordination, and overall design and implementation matters related to IPO regional center compliance.
Qualifications
The qualifications for this position must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 05/30/2024.
Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. The Time-in-Grade requirement must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 05/30/2024.
GS-15: You qualify at the GS-15 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to at least the GS-14 level in the federal government, that equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have experience performing the following duties:
Drafting policies, laws, regulations, and operating procedures related to an immigration or compliance program;
Leading a team through the development process of new immigration policies and procedures to include researching and analyzing current regulations and precedent setting cases;
Making recommendations to agency senior executive leadership and implementing national policy serving as the basis for new systems, legislations, regulations, or programs related to immigration or compliance programs.
