This position is located at Bureau of Engraving and Printing, within the Office of Production Engineering. As a Program Specialist, you will coordinate management services and programs; perform special studies; and lead special projects essential to the smooth operation and management of the Office.
Duties
As a Program Specialist, you will:
Manage operational actions, determine statuses, prioritize events, and provide comprehensive status briefings to the staff.
Advise manufacturing executives, division managers, and administrative operations to ensure that the most efficient and effective support is provided in the execution of all responsibilities.
Develop procedures and investigate facts involving program issues related to activities such as information processing and documentation systems for reports, correspondence, record keeping and technical presentations.
Participate on special committees concerned with production matters; follow assignments through to completion; and develop recommendations for consideration and prepare technical presentations in PowerPoint as directed.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position is defined as experience managing projects, which includes planning, execution, resolution of issues, and communicating and coordinating with multiple offices, programs, or divisions.
Examples of such experience could include:
- Planning and coordinating testing activities such as process improvement initiatives, new product qualification, and feasibility assessments between multiple offices.
- Providing support for internal and external audits such as analyzing responses to audit findings, developing corrective action plans, or addressing nonconformance issues.
- Formulating plans, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with organizational objectives.
- Developing, presenting, and advising management on the status of performance objectives.
In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-13, you must have been at the GS-12level for 52 weeks.
