Duties

Serve as Physical Security Specialist with the Army Sustainment Command (ASC) in the S2/S3 operations. Provide staff guidance and effective security program entailing the protection of people, government property, conventional weapons, ammunition and explosives, terrorism counteraction, crime prevention and technical assistance. Manage programs relative to plans, readiness, mobilization, training, physical security of people, government property, conventional weapons/ munition/explosives, terrorism counteraction, crime prevention and technical assistance. Monitor progressive levels of physical security measures, identifying needs for potential implementation in response to threats to the United States Army personnel, information and critical resources. Coordinate plans, procedures and changes in Force Protection Condition (FPCON) levels with higher headquarters, tenant organization activities, and appropriate agencies.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time
  • This position requires to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
