Duties

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY As a Senior Advisor within the Administration for Children and Families' Office of Regional Operations (ORO), you will use your knowledge of and experience with providing leadership and support on a wide variety of key legislative and policy initiatives, project coordination, and administrative functions to optimize business results and customer experience by: Acting as a lead on special projects; advising the Office Director on major office issues, formulating solutions and recommending action and tracking. Coordinating policy and procedures, special programs and project activities, studies, correspondence, and advises on evaluative activities, issues, problems, and creative solutions across the office in support of the Office Director. Writing and preparing correspondence, reports, statistics, and analytical documents in support of the Deputy Director; Preparing oral presentations for the Deputy Director for a variety of audiences within ACF. Acting as liaison with key personnel, groups, and stakeholders, internal and external to the agency and office, and independently anticipates solving problems. Leading or managing teams or working groups with participation from managers and supervisors in developing solutions for ACF-wide implementation.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Specialized Experience: GS-14: You must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and responsibility to the GS-13 level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors) performing (3) of the (4) duties listed below: Directing and/or overseeing administrative and/or operational activities of a social services-related organization; Advising senior leadership on solutions to administrative and/or operational issues; Leading special projects and/or workgroups related to administrative or operational activities for social service programs; and Providing technical assistance on legislation, initiatives, policies, and/or procedures related to social services programs.
