This position is located in the Division of Depositor and Consumer Protection, Consumer and Community Affairs Branch of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and provides support in the areas of the nation's financial system.

Qualifications
Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. CG-09: To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the CG/GS-07 grade level or above in the Federal service.
Specialized experience is defined as experience providing customer service; data base management; drafting correspondence; tracking activities or projects to completion; and using software to prepare written materials.
OR you may substitute education as follows:
You must have earned a master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree or master's or equivalent graduate degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work.
Have a combination of successfully completed graduate level education and specialized experience may be used to meet total experience requirements. Only graduate level education in excess of the amount required for the next lower grade level may be combined with experience.
