You will serve as a Maintenance Mechanic in the Production Division, Public Works Department Norfolk of NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC.

Duties

You will interpret building plans, blueprints, wiring diagrams, engineering, drawings, and maintenance and repair manuals. You will plan and layout the work and skill to use trade formulas to calculate common properties. You will plan, layout, and complete the installation, modification, and repair. You will perform maintenance and repair work on buildings, exterior and interior structures and related utilities, facilities and components.

• You will be required to obtain and maintain a current CPR certification.
• You may at any time be reassigned to a similar position at any site or workstation within the commuting area.
• You may be required to serve on-call duty on a rotational basis. When on-call, you must carry a duty cell phone and duty pager and must remain available to respond on site to after-hour emergencies within two hours.
• You may be assigned to perform tasks in non-trade related fields as an assistant/helper as workload requires.
