The primary purpose of this position is to provide administrative support for the Materiel Support Group by supporting the inspection, suspense tracking, and safety programs, and to serve as the Group Functional Area Records Manager (FARM).
Duties
Manages and provides direct support of the Group Inspection and Records Management Programs.
Assists Group Leadership and Executive Officer in managing and tracking correspondence and suspenses for the organization.
Provides assistance and supports the Group Unit Safety Representative (USR).
Provides administrative support in the composition, compilation, formation, and preparation of one-time special projects and reports, such as Wing level tasking's, working with other group level personnel across the Wing.

Qualifications
Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Clerical and Administrative Support Position. Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-06, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes Specialized experience includes managing and assisting with administrative functions, tracking correspondence, safety programs, inspection and records management systems. Gather data and produce a wide range of documents such as reports, spreadsheets, and charts. Identifies issues and resolves problems or recommend solutions. NOTE: Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.
FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-06 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-07 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of a variety of basic management groups, concepts, procedures, guidance and policy.
2. Able to gather and assemble facts, identifies changes/trends and/or suggests solutions to problems.
3. Knowledge and skill in application of AF and local inspection, safety, records management, and suspense tracking procedures, guidance and policy. 4. Ability to communicate and write effectively and gain cooperation from others through tact, courtesy and diplomacy.
5. Ability to manipulate data and construct simple charts. Ability to inquire and maintain databases and access records and locate information through the use of a personal computer and software programs.
6. Ability to devise organizational alternatives for organizations.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
