This position is for an Employee Relations Specialist located in the Employee-Management Relations Division of NNSA HR. You will serve as an advisor and operational consultant on a variety of federal programs such as, but not limited to employee relations; anti-harassment; and reasonable accommodations.

Specialized Experience Statement:
A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower NNSA pay band or GS grade level in the federal service, e.g., NQ-02 or GS-12. This experience may have been gained in either the public or private sectors. Specialized experience for this position includes:
Administering and researching conduct and performance program issues for federal civilian employees;
Providing strategies/plans to execute fact-finding/inquiries to guide managers in identifying evidence that supports or disproves allegations of misconduct or harassment;
Leveraging federal civilian employee relations practices, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) Enforcement Guidance, agency or department policies and procedures and current case law;
Formulating analysis and strategy to guide managers on best practices to address and correct conduct and performance concerns; and
Minimizing legal liability for the agency and manager when advising on federal civilian employee corrective actions.
"Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
