Duties
As a Supervisory Supplier Operations Division Chief, you will be responsible for the following duties:
Serves as Supplier Operations Division Chief in the Specialized Management Operations Directorate.
Manages development of appropriate business decisions and the execution of actions that have a cross-process and/or cross-directorate impact.
Provides acquisition and logistics support for assigned items, developing and implementing innovative acquisition support solutions.
Develops strategies to support, achieve, and exceed Directorate initiatives in the areas of material planning, pre-award and post-award contracting, quality assurance, and/or technical operations.
Coordinates and supervises the technical and administrative matters of a division.

Qualifications
To qualify for a Supervisory Supplier Operations Division Chief your resume and supporting documentation
must support:
A. Basic Contracting Requirement: A.) A baccalaureate degree from an accredited educational institution authorized to grant baccalaureate degrees OR B.) a current civilian employee in DoD or member of the Armed Forces, who occupied an 1102 position, contracting officer position, or comparable military contracting position with authority to award or administer contracts above the simplified acquisition threshold on or before September 30, 2000 are excluded from the requirements of "A" above.
B. CAP Requirement: This is an Acquisition Workforce (AWF) Position IAW 10 USC Section 1721 and regulations issued by the Under Secretary of Defense for the AWF. Position is a DoD Critical Acquisition Position & requires DoD Acquisition Contracting (C) / CON, Professional (Foundational) acquisition certification within required timeframes. Selectee must also achieve 80 hours of Continuous Learning Points (CLPs) every 2-years and sign a written agreement to remain in Federal service in the position for at least three years. C. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. In addition to meeting the Basic Contracting Requirements above, to qualify for the GS-14 grade level, specialized experience must be at the GS-13 grade level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable
specialized experience includes:
Managing the day-to-day operations and overseeing the work of a multi-functional team composed of a mixture of contract specialists, procurement analysts, material planning specialists, quality assurance specialists, and/or support personnel.
Planning, organizing, coordinating, directing, and/or integrating all operations assigned to a team that includes at least two of the following functions: material planning, pre-award contracting, post-award contracting, procurement analysis, and/or quality assurance.
Determining goals and objectives that improve customer support.
Identifying innovative approaches and/or developing solutions for complex issues.
Communicating with high level, internal and external stakeholders to monitor and accomplish operations.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
