You will serve as an AIRCRAFT ATTENDANT in the N32 Air Operations Department of NAS PENSACOLA.
Duties
You will complete servicing check off forms as part of post flight services.
You will perform daily maintenance checks on multiple types of aircraft ground support equipment to verify serviceability.
You will operate equipment (e.g., forklift, dolly, cargo loader) to load and unload cargo from an aircraft.
You will review fuel load, aircraft structural limits, and emergency equipment requirements to assist in aircraft loading and unloading.
You will inspect runway, taxiways, and aircraft parking areas for potential foreign object damage.
You will use hand signals during aircraft ground operations (e.g., taxiing, parking, fueling).
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
- Incumbent will be required to wear applicable safety items provided by the government with particular emphasis to eye, ear, and foot injuries.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: Ability to do the work of an Aircraft Attendant, WG-8862-06 without more than normal supervision such as 1) Performing gravity and pressure refueling procedures; 2) Functioning as observer during final operational checks prior to take off, utilizing safety practices and procedures; and 3) Serving as a member of the Bird/Animal Strike Hazard team to keep birds and other animals off runways. I work under close supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed.
