This position is located under the Office of Public and Governmental Affairs, Digital Media Division, Visual Media Branch in Washington, District of Columbia.

To qualify for 12, candidates must also have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level 11. Additional Conditions of Employment: GS-12 - You qualify if you possess one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal, State, or Local government or equivalent public or private sector experience, performing the following duties: utilizing all aspects of video documentation and digital video editing, audio capture and manipulation, use and creation of video special effects, script writing, and proper video formats to meet messaging requirements; and modifying, adapting, and operating audio-visual equipment such as television cameras, video, CD and DVD duplication systems; and operating portable and studio lighting instruments and post-production equipment & systems such as Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, or other Non-Linear Editing (NLE) software equivalent to produce professional audiovisual work products; and applying established rules in direction including camera angles, continuity, cutting, and composition. communicating effectively with colleagues, external entities, and management. Substitution of education in lieu of specialized experience may not be used for this grade level. Experience must be in the normal line of progression or must be related to the work of the position advertised and must be reflected in resume.
