Duties
Develops the functional systems requirements and specifications.
Reviews requirements, applies available technologies and basic management principles, planning, design, and development of Enterprise Database systems (SQL Server).
Leads the development and administration of SQL Server database services.
Ensures complete and accurate backups of the SQL Server infrastructure on a regular schedule or ensures that the appropriate parties are engage.

Specialized Experience: For the GS-13, you must have one year of experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 in the Federal service. Experience for this position includes serving as a technical expert installing, configuring and administering MS SQL Server databases in Failover Cluster Instance (FCI) and Always On High availability groups configuration; providing ongoing support and assistance in daily operations, maintenance, management, backup, recovery, disaster recovery and administration of complex MS SQL Server databases in Enterprise multi-tenant, SharePoint and Project Server environments; serving as a technical expert in providing management and administration of MS SQL Server Business Intelligence tools - SQL Server Analysis Services (SSRS), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SQL Server Application Services (SSAS); and serving as a technical expert in managing MS SQL Server security and resolving MS SQL Server data and security issues.
In addition to the above specialized experience, your resume must demonstrate one year of Information Technology (IT) related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined:
