This vacancy is for a Supervisory IT Specialist position in the Decennial Information Technology Division located at the U.S. Census Bureau Headquarters in Suitland, Maryland. The Census Bureau is accessible from the Metro Rail Green Line - Suitland Station.

Duties
Provides direct and indirect supervision, leadership, and guidance to Infrastructure Engineering Staff
Directs design, architecture, and implementation of cloud, desktop, server, mobile IT solutions for Decennial field offices, remote workers, and enumerators
Directs creation, operation, and maintenance of a DevSecOps solution to support continuous delivery, integration, automated testing and deployment of infrastructure, code, and configurations for decennial programs
Directs the design, development, and implementation of Decennial Census System of Systems, Geographic Support Program IT solutions, and American Community Survey data processing solutions

Specialized Experience: For the GS-15, you must have one year of experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 in the Federal service. Experience for this position includes: Developing architecture, secure configuration standards, policies, and procedures for infrastructure components (e.g. cloud, desktop, server, and mobile IT solutions); serving as subject matter expert on projects/initiatives to deliver digital products/services and/or conducting technology evaluations, making architectural decisions, and integrating systems; implementing Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery for IT systems; and migrating applications to cloud and managing systems in the cloud.
AND
IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below.
