Duties
You will assist higher-graded employees, (typically the operator in charge) in performing more complex and difficult tasks associated with operation and maintenance of the utility plants/ systems.
You will work with others in cleaning and maintaining utility system equipment at heating, water and waste water treatment plants.
You will perform sampling and/or testing to determine physical and chemical content of water including measurements of chlorine residuals, pH levels, alkalinity, hardness and cyanuric acid levels.
You will assist higher-graded employees with minor maintenance or repair of equipment and systems and conduct routine housekeeping of inside and outside of the utility plants.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.

- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- This position requires rotating shift work.
- You will be required to possess and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.

This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: the ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision in assisting in the maintenance and operation of utility systems and equipment (e.g. boilers, pumping stations, storage, and mixing tanks, water purification systems and waste water treatment systems).
