This position is located in the Environmental, Safety, Health and Energy (ESHE) Division, United States Mint in Denver, CO. As an Environmental Protection Specialist, you will ensure the Denver Mint complies with current laws, regulations and ordinances regarding chemical products that are considered hazardous and serve as advisor to management on environmental and hazardous chemical product issues.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/day/year and indicate number of hours worked per week on your resume. Specialized experience for the GS-12 level is one year of experience at the GS-11 level or equivalent that has equipped you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience includes: - Preparing written reports giving recommendations for solving environmental issues or problems; AND - Monitoring compliance or training on the preparation of environmental compliance reviews; AND - Preparing environmental assessments or impact statements.
