Duties
Supports the assigned group by coordinating and monitoring administrative work and ensuring office practices and procedures are established, properly communicated and consistently accomplished.
Operates a computer with various software programs, including Word, Excel, etc. for generating management reports, timekeeping, correspondence, etc.
Makes all travel arrangements and prepares travel vouchers for all office employees.
Finalizes official correspondence using correct grammar, spelling, etc.
Assists in tracking budgetary expenses.
Completes small purchases for office supplies, services, and materials as needed using federal charge card.
Handles Personal Identifiable Information (PII) information and adheres to high confidentiality requirements.
Qualifications
In order to be rated as qualified for this position, the HR Office must be able to determine that you meet the specialized experience requirement - this information must be clearly supported in the resume.
To qualify at the GS-07, you must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to at least the GS-06 level in federal service having demonstrated experience in at least three (3) of the following: drafting and preparing official correspondence; maintaining time and attendance; arranging travel and completing travel vouchers; maintaining files and records; managing calendars and schedules including scheduling appointments; or purchasing supplies, materials, and equipment.
This position requires a qualified typist who can type at least 40 words per minute.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Education
